Softball Game Recap: Normal University Pioneers vs. Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones

Normal University was the 11-2 winner over Sacred Heart-Griffin when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pioneers wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Normal University has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.

While Normal University had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
