Football Recap: DeWitt Clinton Takes a Loss

DeWitt Clinton lost against Lincoln back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Governors were outmatched by the Railsplitters and fell 47-8. While losing is never fun, the Governors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 374th, while the Railsplitters are ranked 49th).

DeWitt Clinton is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. As for Lincoln, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-3.

DeWitt Clinton and Lincoln will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Governors see the field they'll take on Erasmus Hall at 4:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Lincoln, their break will end when they face Tottenville at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th.
