Woodlan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Makenna Smith led the charge by getting 15 digs. Smith is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Victoria Crozier, who had four digs, two kills, and 24 assists.
The loss snapped Lakeland's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 22-11 record. As for Woodlan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season.
Lakeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodlan, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Jimtown at 10:00 a.m. Jimtown will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Woodlan surely won't give up without a fight.
