Basketball Recap: Richland Drops Season-High Score on Krum

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Richland). They enjoyed a cozy 72-55 victory over the Krum Bobcats on Thursday.

It was another big night for Mike Barnes, who went 7-for-13 from beyond the arc to rack up 31 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 18 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jacob Battles II, who shot 63% from the field on his way to 11 points and five assists.

Richland was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Richland now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Krum, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Richland has already played their next game, a 61-38 win against Hallsville on the 5th. As for Krum, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 84-69 victory against Liberty Christian on the 5th.
