Basketball Recap: Westlake Academy Takes a Loss

Westlake Academy was the 67-38 winner over Nazarene Christian Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Blacksmiths fell 40-27 to the Lions on Friday. The game marked the Blacksmiths' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Westlake Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Nazarene Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Nazarene Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mercy Culture Prep at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday. Westlake Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Lions' game: after the Lions face off against the Royals, they'll take on Westlake Academy again at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
