            Softball Recap: Thurston Colts vs. West Albany Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            It's playoff time, and Thurston had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  15-13  victory over the West Albany Bulldogs  on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Colts have posted  since April 29th.
 Syren Ferguson was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and one  triple. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April.  Daphnie Heckel was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and five  RBI.

 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Thurston  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least eight  hits in 18 consecutive  games.
Thurston is  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for West Albany, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-15.
 Thurston has already played their next matchup,  a  12-2  win against Wilsonville on the 30th. West Albany does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
