Basketball Recap: Iroquois Comes Up Short

Iroquois lost against Waggener back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Iroquois Raiders took a 45-26 bruising from the Waggener Wildcats.

Despite the defeat, Iroquois saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Rachel Ishimue posted five points along with ten rebounds and three steals.

Iroquois now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Waggener, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-2.

Iroquois has already played their next matchup, a 38-36 win against Southern on the 13th. As for Waggener, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 51-37 victory against Fairdale on the 12th.
