Softball Game Preview: Edward Little Red Eddies vs. Messalonskee Eagles

The Edward Little Red Eddies will head out to take on the Messalonskee Eagles at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Edward Little will be strutting in after a win while Messalonskee will be coming in after a loss.

Edward Little is headed out to face Messalonskee after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Red Eddies came out on top against Camden Hills by a score of 8-3 on Wednesday.

Kassidy Lobb spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, Emily Poulin was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Kylee Lebrun, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Messalonskee kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 4-1 to Cony.

Edward Little beat Messalonskee 10-6 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Red Eddies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
