Football Recap: Durant Comes Up Short

Durant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons, falling 50-6. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.

Durant's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Louisa-Muscatine, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Durant and Louisa-Muscatine could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. The Wildcats will challenge Regina at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (195 vs. 46). Meanwhile, Louisa-Muscatine (ranked 267th) will meet Sigourney-Keota (ranked 105th) on Friday.
