Recap: Detroit Eagles vs. Rivercrest Rebels
The Detroit Eagles have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 41-31 win over Rivercrest on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Detroit also won the last time the pair played on January 5th.
Despite the loss, Rivercrest still got an impressive performance from Anna Duvall, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Tippit, who scored a point along with seven steals.
Detroit is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-20 record this season. As for Rivercrest, they dropped their record down to 10-19 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Detroit will take on Harts Bluff at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Rivercrest's road trip will continue as they head out to face Maud at 4:30 p.m. on January 26th. Maud is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
