Soccer Game Preview: Las Lomas vs. Clayton Valley Charter

The Las Lomas Knights will venture away from home to take on the Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Las Lomas' last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Things were looking good for Las Lomas after they put the first points on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Livermore by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Clayton Valley Charter waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Red Devils. The Ugly Eagles' winning goal came courtesy of Rohman Mahmood.

Clayton Valley Charter has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-1-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those eight games. As for Las Lomas, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-3.

Las Lomas beat Clayton Valley Charter 3-1 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Las Lomas since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
