             Western Albemarle is 8-2 against Charlottesville since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The Western Albemarle Warriors will challenge the Charlottesville Black Knights at 7:00  p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
 Western Albemarle is headed into the  match out to prove that what happened against Monticello  on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Western Albemarle was dealt  a  54-14 loss at the hands of Monticello. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  27-0.
 Although Western Albemarle took the loss, they still got scores from  Cooper Shelton and  Andrew Azzato.
 Meanwhile, Charlottesville was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a   48-20 loss at the hands of Albemarle. One positive for the Black Knights, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
 Western Albemarle's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Charlottesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
 Western Albemarle took their  victory against Charlottesville  in their previous meeting  back in October of 2023 by a conclusive  35-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for Western Albemarle since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
