Basketball Recap: O'Fallon Comes Up Short

O'Fallon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 71-44 loss at the hands of the Edwardsville Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Tigers are ranked 13th).

O'Fallon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Edwardsville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.

O'Fallon has already played their next matchup (against Wesclin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Edwardsville will square off against Madison at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Edwardsville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Madison likes a good challenge.
