Baseball Recap: Joliet Central Takes a Loss

Joliet Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the Plainfield Central Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Steelmen of the 8-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Joliet Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Plainfield Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

While Joliet Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
