Football Recap: Kofa Takes a Loss

The Kofa Kings had to suffer through a 55-6 loss at the hands of the Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks. The Kings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Desert Sunrise's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ky'Jaun McCutcheon, who picked up 148 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Those three receiving touchdowns gave McCutcheon a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Trae Walker, who threw for 239 yards and four TDs on only 16 passes.

Kofa's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Desert Sunrise, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Kofa wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 41-19 defeat against Cibola on the 24th. As for Desert Sunrise, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-18 win against Westview on the 24th.
