Basketball Game Preview: Paradise Panthers vs. Holliday Eagles

Paradise hasn't had much luck against Holliday recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will be home for the holidays to greet the Eagles at 6:15 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Paradise sitting on four straight victories and Holliday on five.

Paradise saw some tournament action on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Trinity Christian, sneaking past 56-54.

Meanwhile, Holliday strolled past Lake View with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 58-43. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Chiefs/Maidens are ranked 341st).

Holliday's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Paradise, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1.

Paradise didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Holliday in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-44 win. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
