Soccer Game Preview: Marshall vs. O'Connor

The Marshall Rams will take on the O'Connor Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Marshall will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Brennan on Friday. The Rams put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 4-1 victory. Considering Marshall have won four matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for O'Connor, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Brennan on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but O'Connor were the better team in the second half.

The victory got Marshall back to even at 5-5-1. As for O'Connor, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-5-3.
