Recap: East Central Hornets vs. Steele Knights

The East Central Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a 43-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Steele. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points East Central has scored all season.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Mackey, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jestin Dotson, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.

East Central's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Steele, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-11.

East Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-51 loss vs. Clemens on the 9th. Steele has also already played their next matchup, a 69-62 defeat against Judson on the 9th.
