Baseball Recap: Fivay Comes Up Short

Fivay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 35th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 10-0 to the Gulf Buccaneers. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Buccaneers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-0 loss back in March.

Fivay's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Gulf, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10.

Fivay wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 16-0 loss against Zephyrhills on the 8th. As for Gulf, they will head out to take on Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Buccaneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warhawks have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
