Volleyball Recap: South Shore Vo-Tech's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

While South Shore Vo-Tech's win against Old Colony RVT wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cougars 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won five matches in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day South Shore Vo-Tech got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-17, 21-25, 25-20, 21-25, 18-16.

Julia Da Silva paced South Shore Vo-Tech's offense, picking up eight kills. Da Silva got some help from Fenway Valiente and her 18 assists. Luca Torrey controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

South Shore Vo-Tech's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Old Colony RVT, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
