Basketball Recap: Conneaut's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Madison, Conneaut was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 46-27 win over the Lakeside Dragons. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Dragons two weeks ago, they had to take a 40-39 loss.

Conneaut's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11. As for Lakeside, their defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conneaut will venture away from home to take on Pymatuning Valley at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Pymatuning Valley will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Conneaut surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lakeside, they will square off against St. John at 1:50 p.m. on Saturday. Lakeside is facing St. John at the right time seeing as St. John is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
