Basketball Recap: Middletown South Takes a Loss

Middletown South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 51-44 to the Marlboro Mustangs. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 61-43 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The victory got Marlboro back to even at 1-1.

Middletown South won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Matawan Regional at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marlboro, they will venture away from home to square off against Red Bank Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
