It's a battle of nationally ranked South Carolina powers in the MaxPreps Game of the Week.

Thursday, 7 p.m. Eastern time (game was moved to Thursday due to prediction of rain on Friday)Why it's big: Region 2-AAAA title implications — as well as national rankings — are at stake Thursday night as No. 12 Spartanburg tries to snap a 14-game losing streak against No. 25 Byrnes.
Spartanburg nearly ended its decade-plus of misery against Byrnes last season, but fell short in a 45-41 loss that saw five-star dynamo
Tavien Feaster account for only 47 yards. Feaster, a Clemson commit, has been held under 50 all-purpose yards only three other times during his three-year role as a starting running back.
Byrnes (5-0) needed two fourth-quarter touchdowns to scratch out a 28-23 over Boiling Springs (1-4) last week. The Rebels' flat performance is understandable in a game sandwiched between this week's showdown with Spartanburg and a 28-14 win over rival Gaffney the week before.
Names to watch: Feaster, the nation's
top-rated all-purpose back and the top prospect in South Carolina, has 745 combined rushing and receiving yards to go with 10 touchdowns this season. He averages 12 yards each time he touches the ball on offense.
Senior
Chavis Dawkins is the top receiver in Byrnes' vaunted passing attack. The senior is a three-star prospect who had 209 receiving yards and three touchdowns in Byrnes' win against then-nationally ranked Mallard Creek (N.C.) on Sept. 4.
