Shaler Area won the last time they faced Fox Chapel and things went their way on Tuesday too. Shaler Area put the hurt on Fox Chapel with a sharp 11-5 victory. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by six runs or more this season.

Shaler Area got a great performance from Colby Weber as he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). Weber has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, L Schiffhauer and Kaleb Jockel did most of the damage at the plate: Schiffhauer scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Jockel scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. That hit was Jockel's first of the season. Troy Leas was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Shaler Area now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Fox Chapel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Shaler Area will welcome Knoch at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Knoch's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Shaler Area's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Fox Chapel, they will venture away from home to take on Armstrong at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
