Baseball Game Preview: Austintown-Fitch Falcons vs. Hubbard Eagles

The Austintown-Fitch Falcons will take on the Hubbard Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Austintown-Fitch earned a 4-1 victory over Harding. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Meanwhile, Hubbard had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Indians 8-6. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly two runs.

Hubbard pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Austintown-Fitch, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
