Preview: Lane vs. Mott Haven
The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Saturday Lane (9-0) takes on Mott Haven (3-6) in the first playoff game of the year. Mott Haven will have its work cut out for it since Lane boasts a defense that has allowed an average of only 7.8 points per game.
Lane kept its home record unblemished after another positive outing on its own turf. It snuck past Grady with a 28 - 22 victory last week.
Meanwhile, Mott Haven has to be hurting after a devastating 40 - 8 defeat at the hands of Far Rockaway last game. Mott Haven unfortunately couldn't repeat the imposing 40-point effort it came up with in its previous game.
The last time they met, Lane really took it to Mott Haven, winning 56 - 14. Will Mott Haven avenge its loss? We'll find out soon enough.
