Soccer Game Preview: Brighton vs. Mountain Range

Brighton is a perfect 4-0 against Mountain Range since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Brighton will be strutting in after a victory while Mountain Range will be coming in after a defeat.

Brighton took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Northglenn with a sharp 8-0 win. That looming 8-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Brighton yet this season.

Their offense was hitting Northglenn from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Haleyanna Martin led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Despite a strong season so far, Mountain Range has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They lost 5-2 to Riverdale Ridge on Tuesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Mountain Range were already down 3-0.

Mountain Range's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Brighton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Brighton was able to grind out a solid win over Mountain Range when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
