Softball Recap: Knightdale Gets the Win

Knightdale's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Vance County Vipers 10-9. While the Knights didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The team relied heavily on Jhonae Davis, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Davis is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Michelle Nafukho also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Knightdale's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Vance County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Knightdale will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vipers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
