Basketball Game Preview: Truman Patriots vs. Chrisman Bears

Truman and Chrisman are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Truman Patriots will host the Chrisman Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Truman came up short against North Kansas City on Tuesday, falling 78-56. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Chrisman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. The contest between them and Grain Valley didn't end well, with Chrisman falling 53-38.

Truman's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Chrisman, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything went Truman's way against Chrisman when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as Truman made off with a 60-37 win. Will Truman repeat their success, or does Chrisman have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
