Volleyball Recap: Akiak Takes a Loss

Akiak lost against Akiachak last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Thunderbolts fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 2-1. While the Thunderbolts didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Huskies 25-18 in the first set.

Akiak started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-20, 17-15.

Akiak's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Akiachak, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Coincidentally, Akiak and Akiachak will both be playing Aniak the next time they take the court. The Huskies will head out to face the Halfbreeds on Friday, while the Thunderbolts will head out to face them on November 7.
