Baseball Game Preview: Mission Eagles vs. Rio Grande City Rattlers

For the second straight game, Mission will face off against Rio Grande City. The Eagles will host the Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Mission needed a bit of extra time to put away Rio Grande City. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Rattlers.

For Rio Grande City's part, Deandre Rodriguez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was Rodriguez's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Yahir Montemayor, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Rio Grande City moved to 11-10 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Mission, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
