Softball Recap: Steinbrenner Find Success

While Steinbrenner put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for River Ridge. Steinbrenner came out on top against River Ridge by a score of 4-0. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Madi Adams looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Steinbrenner's win was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Callie Bergen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Emma Kindle, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Steinbrenner's record is now 9-4. As for River Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Steinbrenner and River Ridge will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time Steinbrenner sees the field they'll take on Alonso at 7:00 p.m. on the 27th. As for River Ridge, their break will end when they face Mitchell at 8:00 p.m. on the 25th.
