Football Recap: Crossover Prep Takes a Loss

Crossover Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 50-24 to the Claremore Christian Warriors. The Lions lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 56-8 score last time.

Defeat or not, Crossover Prep got some senior leadership from Brandon McBee and Bennett Goodson. McBee picked up 140 receiving yards and four touchdowns, while Goodson threw for 186 yards and four TDs on only 15 passes. Those four passing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Goodson.

Crossover Prep's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Claremore Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Crossover Prep and Claremore Christian will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Lions see the field they'll take on Abundant Life at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th. As for Claremore Christian, their break will end when they face Life Christian at 5:00 p.m. on the 8th.
