Football Game Preview: Silver Creek Raiders vs. Piedmont Hills Pirates + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Jordan Thompson and Alijah Torres are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Silver Creek Raiders will host the Piedmont Hills Pirates at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

If Piedmont Hills heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Silver Creek took over last week. The Raiders put the hurt on Oak Grove with a sharp 34-13 win on Thursday.

Alijah Guzman produced another solid performance rushing for 170 yards while picking up 9.4 yards per carry, and also picking up 55 receiving yards. Those 170 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Piedmont Hills entered their tilt with Del Mar on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They claimed a resounding 60-14 victory over the Dons. With the Pirates ahead 33-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Piedmont Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Diego Arias, Alexavier Rivera, and Daniel Aragon picked up one apiece. Rivera is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Arias got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Silver Creek now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Piedmont Hills, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
