Basketball Game Preview: Portland Raiders vs. Sexton Big Reds

The Portland Raiders are taking a road trip to take on the Sexton Big Reds at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Sexton will be up against a hot Portland squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Portland blew past Charlotte 60-40 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Raiders have posted against the Orioles since December 10, 2021.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Sexton over Eaton Rapids in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Sexton blew Eaton Rapids out of the water with an 84-34 final score. The Big Reds have beaten the Greyhounds the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Greyhounds has come to flipping the script.

Portland pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points over those games. As for Sexton, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4.
