            Basketball Preview: Arrupe Jesuit Generals vs. Kennedy Commanders        
        
		
        
        
            The Arrupe Jesuit Generals will head out to  take on the Kennedy Commanders  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday,  everything came up roses for Arrupe Jesuit against Clear Creek as the  team secured  a  65-32 victory. With the Generals ahead  42-11 at the half, the  game was all but over already.
 Arrupe Jesuit found their leader in freshman  Manuel Loya, who  went 10 of 17 en route to 25  points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Louie Garcia, who  posted nine points and five  rebounds.
Meanwhile, Kennedy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down Jefferson 67-48  on Wednesday.
 Arrupe Jesuit better focus on containing  Chauncey Loftin and  Quinn Padilla as the pair were huge in Kennedy's win. Loftin  almost  dropped  a double-double on 19  points and nine  boards, while  Padilla  went 5 of 9 on his way to 18  points. The dominant performance gave  Padilla a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Anthony Zink, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 11  points and nine  boards.
 Arrupe Jesuit took their  win against Kennedy  in their previous meeting  back in December of 2021 by a conclusive  65-40. Will Arrupe Jesuit repeat their success,  or does  Kennedy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
