Softball Recap: Millbrook Takes a Loss

Millbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Corinth Holders Pirates, falling 14-4.

Lillyanne Smith made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Sierra Krozser was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Millbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Corinth Holders, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-1.

Corinth Holders didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Roanoke Rapids on the 29th. Hopefully Millbrook paid attention to the Pirates' matchup: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Pirates at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
