Soccer Game Preview: Gadsden County vs. Munroe

Gadsden County is 0-5 against Munroe since November of 2021 but things could change on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Gadsden County challenge the Munroe at 4:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Gadsden County's offense. They came up short against Jefferson County on Thursday, falling 8-0.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Munroe was not quite Franklin County's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seahawks. The Bobcats have struggled against the Seahawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Munroe's goal came courtesy of Paola Guerrero, which was the first she's scored this season.

Munroe's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Gadsden County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5-1.

Gadsden County came up short against Munroe when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 2-0. Can Gadsden County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
