Game recap

ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, Calif. - Palos Verdes Peninsula (Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.) fell 41-27 to Culver City (Calif.).

After taking the lead on an Ian Escutia touchdown pass to Jason Burr, the Panthers went into halftime with a 7-6 lead. The Centaurs took the lead for good with a Stanley Norman touchdown run in the third quarter.

A 42-7 Culver City victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.

The win was a nice bounce back for CC, which lost to West last week, 36-15. The defeat comes as a step back for Palos Verdes Peninsula, which notched a 51-0 victory over North in its previous outing.

Palos Verdes Peninsula (1-1) goes up against Torrance in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Culver City (1-1) locks horns with Redondo Union also in a non-conference game.
