Volleyball Recap: Gallatin Comes Up Short

Gallatin was the 3-0 winner over Friendship Christian when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Green Wave took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Commanders on Monday.

While Gallatin ultimately came up short, they really made Friendship Christian work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 17-25, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Gallatin still got an impressive performance from Skylar Wilson, who had 22 digs and three assists. Wilson has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Gallatin has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. As for Friendship Christian, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Gallatin will square off against Beech at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Friendship Christian, they will welcome University School of Nashville at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
