Volleyball Recap: Western Plains Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Western Plains duked it out with Cheylin on Saturday. The Bobcats fell 2-0 to the Cougars. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Cheylin was led to victory by Ashlyn Schields and Emily Serrano. Schields had 25 assists and seven digs, while Serrano had 11 digs. That's the most assists Schields has posted over her last five matches.

Western Plains' defeat dropped their record down to 19-13. As for Cheylin, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 24-8.

Western Plains didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Greeley County on the 14th. As for Cheylin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Wheatland-Grinnell on the 11th.
