Softball Recap: Tomahawk Hatchets vs. Mosinee Indians

Tomahawk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Mosinee Indians, falling 18-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in April.

Tomahawk saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lydia Ziert, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Another was Abi Micke, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one double.

Tomahawk's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Mosinee, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Tomahawk is set to challenge their familiar foe Lakeland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mosinee will take on rival Medford at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 2.7, the Raiders 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
