Faith Christian is a perfect 10-0 against Anniston since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Faith Christian Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Anniston Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Faith Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Wellborn on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-3. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Faith Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Reese, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Reese has posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Anniston didn't have quite enough to beat Central of Coosa County last Monday and fell 9-8.

Dylan Goodson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Kyron Malbrough was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

This is the second loss in a row for Faith Christian and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Anniston, their record now sits at 1-5.

Faith Christian took their victory against Anniston in their previous matchup last Friday by a conclusive 9-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Faith Christian since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
