Basketball Game Preview: Mission San Jose Warriors vs. Arroyo Dons

The Mission San Jose Warriors will face off against the Arroyo Dons at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.

Mission San Jose is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Wilcox just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 58-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since January 24, 2024.

Meanwhile, Arroyo didn't have quite enough to beat Gateway on Monday and fell 62-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (55), the Dons still had to take the loss.

Mission San Jose's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Arroyo, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Mission San Jose ended up a good deal behind Arroyo in their previous matchup back in December of 2018, losing 63-48. Can Mission San Jose avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
