Basketball Game Preview: Oak Forest Warriors vs. New Life Camp Storm

Oak Forest is 1-7 against New Life Camp since January of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Oak Forest Warriors will face off against the New Life Camp Storm at 6:30 p.m. Oak Forest is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Oak Forest earned an 82-71 win over DASH. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the United recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Oak Forest's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Tyler Woolard, who went 10-for-14 en route to 25 points and six boards, and Christian Hargett, who went 7-for-11 to rack up 21 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Hargett a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalton Jarman, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine assists.

Oak Forest was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They racked up nine more assists than DASH's also-impressive total of 13.

Meanwhile, New Life Camp played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against South Wake, falling 67-44. The Storm haven't had much luck with the Sabres recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

New Life Camp's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Oak Forest, their record now sits at 23-11.

Things could have been worse for Oak Forest, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-45 loss to New Life Camp in their previous meeting back in January. Can Oak Forest avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
