Softball Recap: Westwood Comes Up Short

Westwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 8-4 to the Woodbury Central Wildcats. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since June 28, 2018, but that streak is no more.

Westwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Woodbury Central, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

Westwood has already played their next contest, a 5-1 loss against Woodbine on the 12th. As for Woodbury Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-2 victory against West Sioux on the 12th.
