Basketball Recap: Shaelyn Hayes Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Fort Dorchester

White Knoll won the last time they faced Fort Dorchester and things went their way on Saturday too. The White Knoll Timberwolves snuck past the Fort Dorchester Patriots with a 36-31 win. Given the Timberwolves' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Patriots are ranked 86th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

White Knoll's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shaelyn Hayes, who posted 11 points along with seven boards and three steals. Emory Waters-Inman was another key player, putting up nine points.
