Softball Recap: Lufkin Takes a Loss

If Lufkin was feeling good fresh off their 12-0 takedown of Jacksonville last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell 17-12 to the Whitehouse Wildcats on Tuesday. Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Wildcats since Tuesday.

Lufkin's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Whitehouse, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-8.

Coincidentally, Lufkin and Whitehouse will both be playing Nacogdoches the next time they take the field. The Panthers will head out to face the Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Wildcats will host them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
