Basketball Recap: Metuchen Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Metuchen extended their road winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Danny Galligan. The Metuchen Bulldogs enjoyed a cozy 58-41 win over the South River Rams on Friday thanks in part to Galligan, who went 9 of 19 en route to 22 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Another player making a difference was Jason Woods, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 14 points and eight rebounds. He has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last six times he's played.

Metuchen has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for South River, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Metuchen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-25 victory against Dunellen on the 25th. South River has also already played their next contest (against Calvary Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
