Soccer Game Preview: Auburn vs. Riverton/Tri-City

Auburn and Riverton/Tri-City are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Saturday, Auburn came up short against Lincoln and fell 4-2. The defeat continues a trend for Auburn in their meetings with Lincoln: they've now lost six in a row.

Emme Divjak wasn't going to let Lincoln walk away unscathed as she scored both of Auburn's goals, bringing her season total up to 18 goals.

Meanwhile, Riverton/Tri-City had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They and North Mac finished up their game with a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Riverton/Tri-City's draw gives them a new season record of 2-7-2. As for Auburn, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Auburn beat Riverton/Tri-City 3-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
